Fatula Eye Care is a primary care eye doctor's office that's been in business since 2006.

First starting off at the Walmart in St. Mary's and DuBois, Dan Fatula had a vision of expanding his business.

But due to COVID-19, those plans delayed.

"I had been planning on opening up my new business, my new location that is before the pandemic started the biggest challenge was meeting with people," said Dan Fatula, Optometrist at Fatula Eye Care.

After multiple virtual meetings, Fatula Eye Care opened in DuBois at the start of the year.

"We are spreading our patients out a lot more than you would traditionally making sure that when people are kin here we try to limit the number as much as possible," said Fatula.

Fatula said the silver lining in all of this, is a new level of care for his patients, being able them to spend more on one time with them.

But like many industries, COVID-19 playing a vital role on his supply chain.

"Our glasses are taking a lot longer to come in than they would've in the past there's a real big backlog at the labs that make the lenses so we'll send an order out and instead of it coming in a week it's more like 2-3 weeks," he said.

Since opening his business, Fatula said the community has vital to his business' success.
